Jacobs began studying acting at the age of eight and was enrolled in acting classes on Saturdays in the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She participated in The Pittsburgh Public Theater where she always competed in the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be chosen in the role of Titania in their performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs left Lebanon High School for New York City in 2000. In New York City, she was a part of in the Drama Division of Group 33. In 2004, she graduated with a bachelor's degree.
